Bugsy

I was about 6 or 7, when I became familiar with "The Godfather" and it's legendary characters! I have to be honest. Through time, I have changed a lot! my taste for movies, games and music has evolved through time for sure! I don't even listen to music I found very great 10 years ago! However, "Mafia" and its associated "Men of Honor (Mafioso)" have always interested me in number of different ways!

How those men tried to shape the world the way they liked it, not the way it was written for them! How they managed to set their own rules of engagement, rather than those of the society! How those men created wealth and respect beyond those available to ordinary men,...and so forth!

A couple of nights ago, I was watching, for the third time, "Bugsy". The film is about Benjamin "Bugsy" Siegle, who built "The Flamingo" casino, the first in Las Vegas. Bugsy saw a big potential for profit in gambling. According to the movie, when Bugsy was gunned down by his partners because he had mismanaged the money, it had topped 6 million dollars! That money had generated $100 billion by 1991, less than 50 years! pretty impressive...isn't it??
